Christmas Photo A Day: Day 13 – Tree

At the Peregrine’s Landing Christmas Party, we had bagpipers playing Christmas tunes.  One of the pipers had his gear trimmed with a tree banner.

Christmas Photo A Day: Day 11- Blessings

Today was filled with blessings in North Georgia.  A particular blessing was being welcomed to the holiday luncheon and gift exchange of the Presbyterian Women of Chickamauga,  a fantastic group of ladies that know how to do mission and ministry and how to have fun together.  The remainder of the day was spent talking and praying (and more eating) with other good colleagues in the area.  A long day (14 hour, including 4 hrs. of commute), but so worth it!

Mark 10.29-30

Jesus said, ‘Truly I tell you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields, for my sake and for the sake of the good news, who will not receive a hundredfold now in this age—houses, brothers and sisters, mothers and children, and fields, with persecutions—and in the age to come eternal life.

Tonight’s weather forecast calls for temperatures below freezing, so I have prepared a bit of a shelter for my outdoor plants.

Today, being the first Sunday of the month, is the day that I join with Woodstock Presbyterian Church in sharing the Lord’s Supper at Emeritus at Woodstock (a Personal Care Home).  Today involved two “dinners,”  the Eucharistic meal and a Sunday dinner with a few friends from Woodstock Pres. and Emeritus.
