Lenten Photo Discipline, Day 37 – Home

My Home Repair Kit

home

My body is my home, as well as a host for the Holy Spirit.  Keeping this home in reasonable repair is a constant challenge.  My favorite tools are Yoga, Reiki, walking and the help of doctors, chiropractors and a good masseuse.  Today’s home maintenance routine included a bit of yoga and a fabulous massage by Gail Bauer at Essential Kneads.  Ahhhh… the Holy Spirit and I are both happy at home this evening.

Lenten Photo Discipline, Day 36 – Beloved

God So Loved the World

beloved

In our baptism (as in Christ’s), God calls us Beloved.  We strive to imitate Christ in making perfect response to that love.  Some days, this love is very difficult to bear.

Only You

Only you
I choose among the entire world.
Is it fair of you
letting me be unhappy?

My heart is a pen in your hand.
It is all up to you
to write me happy or sad.

I see only what you reveal
and live as you say.
All my feelings have the color
you desire to paint.

From the beginning to the end,
no one but you.

Please make my future
better than the past.

When you hide I change
to a Godless person,
and when you appear,
I find my faith.

Don’t expect to find
any more in me
than what you give.

Don’t search for
hidden pockets because
I’ve shown you that
all I have is all you gave.

Lenten Photo Discipline, Day 33 – New

EL ordination

Today Cherokee Presbytery celebrated the ordination of a new pastor, Rev. Elizabeth de Sousa Luangphakdy, one of only three Brazilian women clergy in the PC(USA), and the FIRST Brazilian woman to be educated and ordained in the USA!

Congratulations Elizabeth!

Lenten Photo Discipline, Day 32 – Surround

surround

Surrounded tonight by a beautiful and clear night sky… only a little light pollution and so I am granted the company of all the starry hosts!  I could sit outside on these kind of nights and gaze at the sky for hours and hours, but alas, Sunday morning duties come all too soon, and so I must go to bed.
